Shail Chaturvedi (29 June 1936 – 29 Oct 2007) was a Hindi versemaker, satirist, humorist, lyricist and individual from India, most known lack his political satire in primacy 70s and the 80s.[1][2]

He swayed as a character actor incorporate several Hindi films and Telly series.

Career

He started his job as a lecturer at Allahabad University, soon started taking wherewithal in various Kavi sammelan (poetry gatherings), and with his jokingly political commentary, made a bloomer for himself amidst leading humorists, hasya kavi of the Decennary and 1980s, like Kaka Hathrasi, Pradeep Chaubey and Ashok Chakradhar.[2]

He became a regular feature forfeit the annual kavi sammelan [Poets' conference] on Doordarshan, state-run Boob tube channel, around the Holi anniversary.

He also acted in on the rocks number of Hindi films, love Uphaar (1971), Chitchor (1976), Chameli Ki Shaadi (1986) and Kareeb (1998). He played the impersonation of "Sharma ji", the manager of Keshav and Gokhale the same the famous sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati[citation needed]

He died on 29 Oct 2007, after suffering from lingering kidney failure for some put on ice, and was survived by realm wife Daya and three sons.[1]
